Deep-tech research doesn't stall for lack of ideas — it stalls for lack of funding, or for lack of knowing which door to knock on. Our Fundraising & Grants Consulting Unit exists to close that gap: mapping the global and national funding landscape for quantum & deep-tech, and helping researchers, startups and institutions actually reach it.
Mapping global and national quantum & deep-tech funding schemes against a researcher's, startup's or institution's actual eligibility — so effort goes into the applications worth making.
Hands-on support building the pitch deck, DPR, or grant application itself — technical narrative, budget structuring, and milestone framing that reviewers actually respond to.
Funded ventures don't stop at the grant letter — our Incubation Centre carries them from Pre-Incubation through Mentors & Support to Scale to Success, so capital converts into a real venture.
Connecting mission-aligned philanthropic and CSR support to research and incubation work that needs it — for our own R&D, and for the founders and institutions we support.
More than 40 nations now run a dedicated national quantum strategy — alongside sovereign deep-tech funds, corporate and venture capital dedicated to quantum & deep-tech, and a growing set of philanthropic foundations funding frontier science. That is real capital actively looking for credible, well-positioned teams to back.
Our Fundraising Unit tracks this landscape on an ongoing basis — for our own R&D, and on behalf of the founders and institutions we consult for — so a credible team spends its time building, not searching.
India has moved fast on deep-tech funding infrastructure in the last few years. Here are the national vehicles we track most closely for quantum & deep-tech work — presented for information; eligibility, guidelines and corpus figures are set by each administering body and are worth confirming directly, which is exactly where our Unit can help.
An eight-year, ₹6,003.65 Crore national mission (2023–31) under the Department of Science & Technology — funding four Thematic Hubs and, increasingly, direct startup cohorts working on quantum computing, communication, sensing and materials.
A ₹10,000 Crore corpus approved in 2026, building on the original Fund of Funds' full deployment across 145 Alternative Investment Funds — mobilising venture capital toward high-tech sectors that need patient, long-term capital.
Early-stage seed support for proof-of-concept, prototyping and market entry — routed through approved incubators, making an active incubation relationship a practical advantage.
India's apex research funding body, established in 2023 to absorb and expand on SERB's mandate — academic and institutional research grants across science and technology, quantum included.
The Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council funds biotech- and MedTech-adjacent deep-tech innovation — directly relevant to our Quantum MedTech Lab's research pipeline.
Incubation-linked grant programmes supporting early ideation, prototyping and incubation infrastructure — a natural companion to our own Incubation Centre pathway.
This list reflects our own understanding of India's national deep-tech funding landscape and is provided for general information, not as financial or legal advice. Scheme names, corpus figures, and eligibility change — our Fundraising Unit verifies current guidelines directly with each administering body before advising on any specific application.
We review the research, product, or venture against the funding landscape — global and national — to identify realistic, well-matched opportunities.
We help build the application itself — technical narrative, budget, milestones, and DPR or pitch deck, sharpened for what each scheme's reviewers look for.
Some teams apply directly once we've helped them prepare; others want us alongside them through submission and review. Both paths are supported.
Once funded, our Incubation Centre carries the venture forward — Pre-Incubation, Mentors & Support, Facilities, and Scale to Success — so capital becomes a real, deployed venture.
Everything above is a service we offer others — but we'll be direct about our own position. Quantum World Ventures is actively in the process of raising funds for our own R&D, Incubation, and PMU work. Any leads, introductions, or philanthropic support are genuinely welcome. If you know of an opportunity that fits us better than it fits you, we'd love the referral — and if there's one that fits you, we're glad to either point you to it directly, or support your application ourselves.
Santosh leads QWV's own fundraising strategy across grants, investment, and philanthropic support — the same policy and institutional relationships he has built over 15+ years across Digital India, Smart Cities and Smart Villages now inform how QWV identifies and pursues the right funding partners, for itself and for the ventures it supports.
Alongside his research role — Ph.D. in underwater object detection and tracking from SRM IST, and a former DRDO–Naval Research Board Senior Research Fellow — Dr. Aravind brings a working understanding of how government-funded deep-tech research actually gets evaluated and approved. He now leads grant strategy for the Fundraising Unit, guiding both QWV's own applications and those of the researchers and startups we consult for.
Whether it's a referral for us, a fund you'd like our help applying to, or philanthropic support you'd like to direct toward real quantum & deep-tech work — reach out.
"There's no dignity lost in saying plainly that good work needs funding — the only real loss is staying quiet about it while the work waits. We'd rather ask directly, and build the same honesty into how we help everyone else ask too."— Santosh Talaghatti, Founder & Managing Director, Quantum World Ventures
